The webshak concept was established in
1994 about the time compuserve began offering the UK dial up access to
the internet.
webshak being a mashup of ideas & new technology , our
immediate aim was to help companies re-think their paper based business
processes and translate those processes into online business
applications.
In
the early
days of dial up we built static websites and marketed them but as
internet technology evolved we were able to bring business benefits to
customers and connect their people and processes to each other in
new ways. This sort of thing became known as web applications and it
gave people new ideas of how they could structure, manage and
collaborate both in their businesses and with others. As the internet
grew we grew to 16 people and
survived the .com boom. We learned valuable business lessons from that
era and
evolved again by continuing to provide our customers with more
nimble ways to operate.
We had a vision
of being able to work anywhere in the world and provide customers with
a wide range of new internet services; this has now become the norm in our industry with web collaboration now the major trend for the future of all forms of business and social trends.
As our customers have benefited from using technologies
we have evolved with them to produce their next generation systems and today we manage key parts of our customers business software and help others to get similar results.
We enjoy a good
relationship with a range of service and manufacturing businesess both in
the uk and spain.
And finally we have no wish to become a large company, we prefer to know all of our customers by first name only.
